    MINIVAP ON-LINE is a process monitoring analyzer for the determination of the vapor pressure of gasoline, crude oil, LPG and NPG. Also, the vapor-liquid ratio (LVR) of gasoline can be measured. The measuring principle is identical to the worldwide used laboratory instruments MINIVAP and therefore the MINIVAP ON-LINE produces equivalent results.

    Up to 2 different sample streams can be connected to one single analyzer. It is the only available process vapor pressure tester that fully complies to the industry relevant ASTM standards for gasoline (ASTM D6378), crude oil (D6377) and LPG (D6897).

    Applications
    The measuring principle is based on the triple expansion method of Grabner Instruments´ worldwide approved and accepted laboratory vapor pressure tester for gasoline and crude oil: MINIVAP VPS. The US-EPA declared MINIVAP the official reference instrument for the USA in 1993.

    With MINIVAP ON-LINE, the vapor pressure of gasoline (D6378 / D5191), crude oil (D6377 / D323), liquid petroleum gas (D6897 / D1267) and the vapor-liquid ratio temperature of gasoline (D5188) can be determined. With possible connection of up to 2 different sample streams, these measurements can be performed with one single instrument.

    The MINISCAN IRXpert is the first completely portable multi-fuel analyzer for Gasoline, Diesel, Jet Fuel and Biofuel Blends, which uses the advantages of full spectrum information and full spectrum comparison to achieve utmost measurement accuracy. More than 100 fuel parameters are accurately determined by scanning the complete spectrum with superior resolution. Based on Grabner Instruments profound knowledge in fuel analysis, the MINISCAN IRXpert is designed as an intelligent, self-learning analyzer.

    The MINISCAN IRXpert is a completely temperature regulated, robust and user friendly spectrometer for the automatic measurement of concentration of the most important components of gasoline and diesel. Advanced chemometrics, a worldwide database of calibration samples and information derived from the complete spectrum rather than from specific peaks provide highly reliable results for concentration measurement and key properties such as Octane and Cetane Numbers, Distillation Properties and Vapor Pressure. An integrated temperature controlled density meter allows for exact determination and stability of fuel density.

    Maximizing Ease of Use
    MINISCAN IRXpert for testing fuels right from the street.  A high end full color touch-screen facilitates menu navigation and allows in depth spectrum analysis. USB and Ethernet interfaces facilitate quick data-transfer, printing, LIMS integration and remote control and service. For field use, the MINISCAN IRXpert can be run with a 12V car adapter.

    MINIFLASH - The Safety Standard in Flashpoint Testing

    MINIFLASH is a uniquely designed flash point series of instruments for the automatic determination of the  flash point of liquids and solid samples according to ASTM D6450 and the advanced ASTM D7094 standard. This procedure describes the “Standard Test Method for Flash Point by Modified Continuously Closed Cup (MCCCFP)”, which offers the highest repeatability and reproducibility and an excellent correlation to the D93 Pensky-Martens method: "There is no statistically significant bias observed between ASTM D7094 and ASTM D93 Procedure A” as concluded during the last Round Robin. ASTM D7094 has been approved by the ASTM committee for the Diesel Fuel and Kerosene specifications ASTM D975, D396, D2880 and D3699.

    Furthermore, test results are equivalent to other well known standards such as Abel and TAG, and thanks to its unique design, MINIFLASH can be used for more difficult applications such as flash-point testing of contaminated samples like diesel fuel in lube oil or
    gasoline in diesel fuel and for biodiesel testing.

    Its continuously closed cup design and small sample volume of only 1-2 mL offers maximum safety, avoids offensive fumes in the testing area and reduces sample waste. The fast thermoelectric cooling at the end of a test and the
    fast and easy handling of the instrument, save expensive labor time.

    Due to the true portability and rugged housing, the MINIFLASH is also the perfect solution for mobile labs and military applications.

    The New Technology

    The MINIFLASH series of instruments is using the Grabner flash detection method of measuring the instantaneous pressure increase inside the continuously closed chamber due to a high energy electric arc. The fast thermoelectric cooling after each test prepares the instrument for the next test in a very short time. Heating the test chamber from the top avoids condensation of high volatile compounds, significantly improving the test results.

    Ignition Protection Technology™ is intrinsic to the MINIFLASH design. Only 1-2 mL of sample are required for testing the flash point - without an open flame!     Wide Range of Applications
    The flashpoint is determined over a wide temperature range, simulating all standard closed cup methods as well as GO/NOGO tests. Over the last years, the outstanding performance of MINIFLASH has proven effective for transport regulations/classifications, product specifications and used oil analysis (programmable fuel dilution curve to prevent costly engine troubles) in laboratories all over the world.

    Flash Point of FAME (Biodiesel) and ASTM method D6751-03
    Blending of Biodiesel (B100) with Diesel Fuels has become increasingly important in order to reduce the amount of carbon dioxide emission in the atmosphere. In the chemical reaction process to produce biodiesel, a short chain alcohol is used to dissolve the catalyst and to assist in the conversion of oil or fat into a fatty acid methyl ester (biodiesel). The excess alcohol is afterwards removed and measuring the flash point of each phase, with the MINIFLASH fully automatic flash point tester, provides a fast indication of the presence of any remaining flammable alcohol.

    Fuel dilution in lube oils changes its viscosity and hence the lubricating properties of the oil, resulting in increased wear of mechanical parts due to higher friction which can eventually lead to serious damage and engine drop-out. Fuel dilution decreases the flash point.

    MINIFLASH FLA/H with 8-position Autosampler
    With the flashpoint samplers MINIFLASH FLA and FLAH, the manipulation time for 8 different samples is less than 2 minutes. After filling the cups, the fully automatic procedure is started. The samples are measured consecutively with the respective test programs.
